Form a “red team” of representatives from each of the four hospitals as well as key public officials (CEDA Planning Director) and members of the community to improve the process of planning and entitlements.
The team will: set project timelines; streamline the process within CEDA by creating a new contracting mechanism; and improve the Design Review process.
The team will also enable a more effective and
constructive public process by including: (1) representatives from
labor unions and local employment training programs to address issues of
local hiring, job training, and small business utilization in the
construction process; and (2) neighborhood representatives who can help
resolve and address neighborhood concerns about construction related
community impacts.
