Continue to convene the healthcare cluster to foster collaborative dialogue between community members, hospitals, health clinics, and other stakeholders in Oakland’s healthcare sector to (1) improve communication channels between various stakeholder groups; (2) enhance appreciation for the challenges faced by the different stakeholders; (3) develop a sense of mutual purpose and support in achieving the goals of growing the cluster while providing excellent healthcare and excellent job opportunities to area residents. 

This initiative will also include facilitating the discussion across political jurisdictions (city, county, state) to address the reimbursement needs of hospitals.
